Sara Damjanovic

When I was younger, I would spend countless hours in the kitchen observing my mom and grandmothers as they effortlessly created meals for small and large gatherings without the help of cookbooks. Food is an integral part of my Bosnian upbringing and I knew that, deep down, I always had a desire to share my passion for food and baking with others.

In the last few years, I’ve collected countless cookbooks and have spent hours reading blogs and watching technique videos to learn absolutely everything I can about the art of making beautiful and delicious cakes.

I started Floret Cakery in 2018 to share my passion for making others happy with one of the most universally loved desserts: cake! Using locally sourced and quality ingredients, each cake that leaves my kitchen is handled with the utmost precision and care from beginning to end.

When I’m not baking, I’m spending time with my family, working as an academic advisor and plotting to get sponsored by Land O’ Lakes because, butter is life.
