Quick Tip

Recipe Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. In a medium size bowl, beat together the butter, vegetable oil, and sugars until smooth. Add in the eggs, beating to combine. Stir in the baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla. Stir in the flour, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour. Stir until combined.
  3. Spoon or pipe (piping is easy if you use a ziplock back with the end snipped off) batter evenly into the wells of 2 USA PAN® donut pans.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for 5-10 min in pan.
  5. For cinnamon sugar donuts, shake warm donuts in a plastic bag with 1/3 cup cinnamon sugar. You could also use confectioners' sugar, or frost the donuts with a glaze.
  6. Enjoy!
  7. Vanilla Glaze Directions: Mix together glaze ingredients in a bowl and add extra liquid/sugar to adjust consistency as needed. Tint with food coloring, if desired.
  8. Chocolate Glaze Topping: Melt ingredients together over low heat or in microwave. Stir often. Add extra corn syrup, if needed, to achieve a shiny glaze.
